not sure where you are from but there is a local guy here in brazil indiana that has a buick special with the 15 inch wheels. i am trying to talk him into parting it out but he hasn't made up his mind. i will try to talk to him again and see what he is thinking now.

welcome to CO! the past year it seams as if the 61-63s are gaining in popularity. do you have any pictures of your ride?

I'm pretty sure all the Tempests had 15" wheels. I've seen them on Specials but I don't ever remember seeing an F85 with them. So looks like finding a set from a Tempest will be easiest.

Yea but I believe the tempest were 5 lug if im not mistaken, that makes the 4 lug wheels pretty rare. My 62 jetfire came with 15's, I just need at least 3 more.

Thats good to hear, I would appreciate it if you could put me in touch with him somehow or let me know if he decides to part it. I will try and get some, I recently bought a rock solid royal mist/white 62 jetfire and im collecting parts to restore it, its mostly complete I just need a few odds and ends, I have most everything to make it a 4 speed as well.

I seen your built on oldsjetfire.com, im a big fan and the car looks great. I can't wait to have jim noel do my turbo as well!

thanks, i have everything but the rings to put it together now. i hope to have mine done by mid August at the latest. you can't go wrong with Jim and his rebuild service. i am sure he is the most experienced with them in the world. i will stop and ask about the Buick Monday. i need to pop the cap off the wheel and see if it is a 4 lug or not. i was just assuming it was but i don't know.

do you have any pictures yet?

61-63 Buick Special are 4 lug.
61-63 Tempest are 5 lug.

I know of a 63 f85 wagon parts car in Austin for sale with all 5 15's, factory air conditioning, and 3 speed maual transmission for around 1,000. Very clean front fenders, rough car missing winsheild and cylinder heads.

Really, do you know if he's willing to part it? Is there a way I can contact him?
Thanks
