Anybody have the round park lens for a 98? This fits a 48 98 only. I was apparently wearing boxing gloves when I went to install it and dropped it on the floor. Needless to say it's in a million pieces.

 

Is the other side the same if yes get one made from the good one.

 

You are in luck .
I looked in my Olds parts catalog an saw the GM part number was 5936929 .
I did a little snooping around the net and discovered that this same part was also used on the 1953 thru 1962 Chevrolet Corvette .
They are available from any Corvette supplier for around $26 .

Sometimes , when a new vehicle was designed . The designers would look to components already " on the shelf " .
For a particular part . So they wouldn't need to tool up for another completely new part .

When the 1953 Corvette was designed in 1952 , The desginers probably looked at the round parking lights on the 1948 Oldsmobile 98 and decided " that's what we need " .

According to my 1966 Oldsmobile price guide , that lens was also used by Cadillac , as well as Chevrolet and Olds .
