Depending on what it came out, it could have a 45 deg. or a 39 deg. bank angle for the camshaft/lifters.

Rocketman- all first year 65 425's 386525A are 45 degree CBA with a 842 lifter bore. Same for the 65 400 . Magic Jack out of SA has ED's solution.

Thanks all. Just looking to build a 425 from a 455 block. My 425 I've had on a stand since 86 was bored .040 and the cylinders measure at least .006 over, too much for todays pistons.

Ed, I have a '71 455 block that is 0.030" over and been hot tanked and sprayed with WD-40. It needs to go 0.040" Thanks, Bob.

Crap Ed Guess what sitting on the shelve I bought from "Chadman" ? Brand new .30 over Aris 425 pistons with 2CC valve reliefs and a set of totally reworked 400-425 rods that Joe Mondello did his magic before he moved on. Only If they were .40 over !

I hope Mondello special rods are better than Dick Miller special prep rods. I tossed a few of those DM rods through the side of the block.
