425 heads

Hi. I am in need of replacement heads for my '67 delta 88 as I just realized during a head gasket job that I have one C head and one big-valve B head.
I am looking to replace/swap to get a matching set, preferably the B head with big valves or just a stock C head.

Heads

No B but several sets of C, some big valve as well. But shipping would of course be heavy. I am located in Michigan. And am hoping to be at Nationals in Murfreesboro TN this summer

Ok, great. How much for the c heads with 2,072 valves? I know the shipping will suck, but there are no heads available around me.

I am located in Norway. Do you have big valve B heads? I only really need one head. Or if you have a set of big valve C heads.

Do you want beads that are ready to install and drive. Or a pair as cores to have machined ?
I have a pair with pics but the valves will need to be replaced, and heads cleaned and valve seats resurfaced. The last two are of an intake & exhaust valves.

Hi. Ready to go heads would be preferable, but I can also do the assembly myself. If assembling is required I need them to already be prepared for big valves. You don't happen to have any big valve B heads?
I have one b head with big valves that's good and one small valve c head thats bad.

Henrik no B heads, all the C I have Would need rebuilt, Valve seats reground new valves and all that. Much more than just assembling it. Do you have a machine shop locally capable of Re machining cast iron heads ?
Perhaps Bob has some ready to install or can offer another option, but for me I don’t believe I can help

yeah, thats a point. Are those b heads big-valve heads? Would you sell just one of them, or just as a set?

Id sell you one .for 200 for the core and what ever it takes to get them ready to bolt on .I can send you some pics There are off a 1966 toro. I can send you some pics they stored away but based on 66 toro I'm confident there Big valve heads .
I have a local machine shop that is run by a old friend .They are very busy ,so my guess is a couple of weeks and 200 to 300 to go through one head. plus shipping

Great, send some pics please. Are any of the toronado heads complete and ready to bolt on? I can do assembly and cleanup myself,as long as the valves and hardware are there.

I couldn't guarantee any thing with out having then disasembled . At that point you may be best to just have them gone through I could have the head disassembled and checked out. At that point it might be cost effective to have the machine shop get it ready to install I can email you pic tmro your call but I wont ship them untill they are at least Maged and disassembled so you know what I'm sending you

If I dont have them looked at b4 i send them I cant guarantee any thing. So you'd be on your owen I dont want to send you junk but I have noway to tell the condition with out the machine shops blessing based on shipping I think this would be foolish ! your call though

I hear you. If you could send me some pictures my email is henrikholth1988@gmail.com.
I would also like to have them gone through and inspected before shipping, but then I am probably looking at 1000 dollar heads by the time I get them here.
If i can see some pictures it will probably be easier to assess the condition.
thanks.

Thanks for the pictures, they look ok I guess, but are the both that pitted on the exhaust flange? I've gotten someone I know to assist me with the shipping, so you just have to get them sent to their location in the US.
I am a bit concerned however with the cost of refurbishment. You said around 850 dollars?

I can get a price on refurbishment . I need 200 for the head I would know what will cost to have the head gone through I would say 850 would be on the high side .Let me get a number from the machine shop .in terms of the exhaust ports Im sure that could be addressed while the head is are getting refurbished Remember OLDs did not use a exhaust manifold gasket from the factory so with a gasket they will seal up just fine Once the head gets past magnafluxing then they will be disassembled at that point we can address thee condition of the valves . Im pretty sure they will need new guides .I think the last set of C head I had done was 750 for both if that helps .Id rather tell you 850 and have it come in less! So 850 is probly onn yjr high side .so lets say 550 to 850 max I would need 100 to do all the chasing around .Where is your contact in the states ?I could get a price on shipping once I have that

Hope this helps Thanks Reggie

425 heads

Did you ever finalize a deal on the head(s)? I had to go down to my warehouse, where we use to live, on other business so I grabbed the (4) B and (3) C heads that were already off of engines. The Bs are all big valve, as are the Cs. I can have which ever you like re-conditioned and ready to bolt on. Thanks, Bob.
