Hi All, I'm looking for a couple of new or used pistons for a quick repair on a '37 L-37 257cid straight 8. They are 3-1/8" diameter. If anyone has any, I'll get a better bore measurement.
I'm prepping it for the Great Race, so I cannot get into a full rebuild at this time. They can be replaced with the engine in the car.
I pulled the head for a head gasket, and found 2 pistons with a chip at the edge. No scoring to the cylinder walls at all, and I do not know how old the damage is, or how long it's been running like that, maybe a long time.

I saw the ones on eBay. There are 2 sets, but they are both for the 6 cylinder. I'll contact Egge on Monday, but they usually make them to order. I cannot wait more than a week for these.
