1997 Aurora A/C Compressor

Hey guys, a buddy of mine is looking for a compressor for his car. His right now is freezing up at the bearings and is looking for a working one. Online i can tell they run at about 200ish and seeing if we can get a cheaper one. This is the first generation compressor of the 2 4.0l engines.

Also if there is a way to bypass this with a different size serpentine belt and removing the compressor, what is the size for that belt and how to route it.

ac comp aurora

parts stores have pulley kits to eliminate a/c compressors for SOME applications,i would highly recommend against going with a used compressor, the r&r on these is difficult.jim
