Looking for a core support for 72 cutlass. Surface rust not a problem. I know these rust through where battery sits. Mine is damaged from fender bender. Willing to drive a few hours to pick up. Located northern Ohio. Thanks.

 

What's the extent of the damage from the fender bender? If a seller could cut a portion off a good one to ship you, could you weld a piece onto yours and fix it? I've got several core supports in Oregon but shipping would be a killer. If one of us could ship you just the portion you need that would give you more options than finding one within driving distance. Just a thought. John

 

Thanks for reply. I need the the long top plate where the hood latch goes. Its bent right in the middle pushed up. It might be able to be bent back but still won't be 100% where it was at. If I can find that complete top piece I can cut the spot welds and attach new top piece. Let me know what you have available. thanks

The top plate, that fits against the hood? That should be easy to find closer than me. Most core supports rot out under the battery box, but will still be fine on the top. If you don't get one offered up at a price your comfortable with send me a PM.
