1972 cutlass supreme Rear window chrome trim, drip rail trim.

Hi all, this is my first post, I’m new to the site. I’ve been looking all over (eBay etc) for the rear window surround chrome trim for my dads 72 2dr cutlass supreme. Goes around the rear window. I ordered trim through eBay but I’ve come to learn that there’s at least two types; one for the cutlass fastback (442, S, holiday?) and one for the notchback (supreme). Im looking for the one that’s for the supreme, which has thinner trim pieces at the bottom. Anyone have this particular trim for sale? Or can tell me where to go? Thanks in advance!

Welcome Dennis.
Is the piece your talking about trim the vinyl top on the back side of trunk? Is it the piece that connects to the two corner pieces?

You said "rear window chrome trim or drip rail trim".

Are you saying you need BOTH sets of this trim?

>The rear glass trim is not reproduced....it's stainless steel (not chromed). You'll have to find used pieces there and then have to deal with getting them to whatever condition you want....so get as nice as possible in terms of bad scratches, dings, etc since those problems will add A LOT of cost to refinishing them if you have to pay someone to do that.

>The drip rail pieces are also stainless and available used or you can look at the reproduction pieces sold by Fusick
Automotive.

Shipping costs will he fairly high as well.......these are not small items and the boxes will have to be better than just a regular box to prevent shipping damage. Box sizes alone may result in "oversize" upcharges on ship costs.

It really helps to put your location in your profile.

Hi. Thanks for the quick replies. No those are not the pieces. The car doesn’t have vinyl, so to clarify, we’re looking for the trim that goes around the rear window. Chrome or stainless, not sure what it’s made out of. It’s four pieces, two at the bottom of the window and two that go around the window. I’m located in chicago.

OK, rear window trim is what your talking about. Stainless steel. I would have to dig through and sort out some stuff to see if I have but 442crazy will prob have what you need.

I have these pieces, in perfect condition, from a low mileage 1970 Cutlass Supreme. Located in Chicago. If interested, send me a pm with your contact information.
