1971 Cutlass S Grills

Looking for a pair of grills for a '71 Cutlass S. Hoping for something in good clean "driver" condition. All tabs intact, chrome straight, etc.

Must be willing to ship to Canada!

These are a one year only grill. I believe the same grill was used in all the Cutlass models except the 442, and in the Vista Cruiser.

The '72 wouldn't be the same unless someone retrofitted them in a '72.

Yep. I picked up a new bumper a couple weeks ago and have a new gravel guard as well. Just need the grills to put the front end back to rights completely.

Thanks for trying ;-)

Car came to me with that damage, I'll have to get the story from my sister in law one of these days.

In 71, there were three grilles. The 442 grille, secondly the Cutlass, Cutlass "S" and Vista Cruiser grille, and lastly, the metal Cutlass Supreme grille. It gets a little confusing, in 72 the Vista Cruiser uses the Supreme grille instead of the "S" one. Good luck from the east coast.

Thanks for the photo. Unfortunately they're the wrong ones for the "S" model so I'll have to pass on them.

Lessee, west coast. Give John McNeel (Medford Oregon) a PM. He goes by 2blu442 on this site. If he doesn't have them try one of these guys:
Eric Jensen jensenracing77 - Brazil Indiana
Scott Winn oldspackrat - Indianapolis Indiana
Thomas Johnson Olds442redberet - Birmingham Alabama

Edit: You might as well also check with them for the stone shield and bumper. Stone shield/bumper and any fillers or braces are exactly the same from 71-72 no matter what model of Cutlass.

Thanks Allan. I talked with John back in April, he didn't have any at that time. I'll check with the others you mention though.

I've got a freshly rechromed bumper already, and a decent stone shield (hairline crack that can be repaired easily).

Yeah 71 grills are mega hard to find! I got a pair of NOS 71s off of oldspackrat I think and they weren't cheap but it was worth it!
