1971 Cutlass/442 Driver's Side Door Latch Mechanism

I am looking for a replacement driver's side door latch mechanism for my 1971 442. It is the splined shaft that the interior door handle attaches to. I need the long shaft version - repros that I have found are the short shaft versions. Please see the attached pic.

Inline tube has them as new reproduction parts and they work well.

I have some of the long style. Not sure how soon I can dig one up. If you don't get one soon then remind me in a couple days and I will see what I can find.

442Fred - Thanks! I will check them out on Monday - they are in my back yard.

Jensenracing, thanks very much. Don't go to too much trouble - I will check out Inline tube on Monday.

I went to Inline Tube yesterday. Very nice bunch of folks, but they don't have the correct part. They carry the short (about 3/4") shafts version for cars w/out the chrome backing plate behind the armrest. I am looking for the long (about 1.5") shafts version. My car has the chrome backing plates.

I just found a good driver side that is 1 1/2 inch long. I will add a couple pictures later tonight. I can do $17 shipped if you want it. It works good and the spring action is still very nice. Also has good splines.
