I am lookng for some parts to help a friend get his car back together . This is a 2nd week of Nov 1969 Built 1970 442 W-30 with Auto trans.

Good luck, some of those parts are hard to find. There are a few water pumps laying around and that starter has been for sale on ebay for a while. the coil can be found I just found an NOS one myself but I don't see them often. The coil bracket was used on many of the oldsmobiles so that shouldn't be too hard to find, they also make reproductions of it. The alternator is very hard to find but you can find some that look exactly correct but do not have the stampings on it.

 

If you need the openfaced alt, with the finned rear, I have one on ebay now without the number stampings on it. I have a starter here 1108389, but the date won't work for you. It is stamped 1A29 way too late for yours.
