1970 Oldsmobile Bucket seat strap.

I'm needing a bucket seat limit strap for the passenger front seat. My coating is missing from the steel.

I'm not sure what a bucket seat limit strap is. Could you provide some clarity?

If you cannot find a good used one, maybe check with Ames Performance Pontiac parts supplier (amesperf.com). I did see them available in their catalog not long ago.

I will be heading home tomorrow from Florida. Early next week I will post a picture of a good 1 and a picture of the bad 1. It's located in the center of the back of bucket seats and limits the forward travel of the upper seat back.

your probably talking about one of these. It’s kind of a two piece plastic and metal strap. It’s all part of the seat back release assembly like in the second picture. Inline tube sells the assembly and I am sure other vendors do also. Not sure you can buy just the strap unless it’s a used part from a donor car.

You are correct, that is the exact part. I'm just starting to get back to work on our W-30 and haven't removed the sear backs to look into that strap.
