1970 A/C compressor hold in relay

I’m looking for a working a/c hold in relay that is mounted on the passenger fender. Part number 404422 as per picture from the PIM. PM me if you have one and price. Thanks

I have been trying to figure out what that relay was myself. I am replacing all of the forward wiring harnesses on my 1970 Supreme.

Looks like you can get one here for $15:oldsparts

1970 A/C compressor hold in relay

Unless your going for a concours restoration, it isn't needed. Contrary to the application listed above, Olds quit using them after 1970. They would keep the compressor clutch engaged even after you shut the a/c off. When I worked for the dealer, we had people coming in asking us to eliminate them.

fasteddy,
Where do you see these compressor hold in relays, if I may ask????
I went through all 6 pages of air conditioning components, and all 9 pages of electrical,
And I definitely didn't see it there !?!?!
Thank you in advance.... Craig....

There's one on eBay now for $79.95 + shipping -- or best offer.

The search function on their site couldn't find it for me, but in the actual Brothers Auto Parts catalog, the relay is on page 89.

Not for sale but here's what it looks like. I believe the 69 and 70 are the same.

I found one. The connections are like tru-blu shows. The relay is I think a 70 only design that is discussed a lot in other posts to keep the compressor running once it’s on till you turn the ignition off. Apparently it was a bandaid to keep from cycling the a6 compressors. There is a easy way to defeat the function of the relay and have the compressor turn off when you turn the ac off, I want to look “correct” for a 70 so I want one on the fender hooked up but will defeat it internally.
