Here is the CO post. The tooth is nice and the emblem can be sold separately or together. Lee

thanks lee, i would like to find one that has no damage...... if thats possible. if you here of any let me know. funny how picky you become when you do a frame off lol. as much as i am enjoying doing this resto {searching, scouring, nitpicking, has to be just so} i think i am enjoying my 57 chevy hotrod build better. it is just a old hotrod that i am throwing together to cruise and beat on. i am afraid the vert is going to be to nice to abuse. thanks again!!!!!!

If you're interested, I know Fusick is now selling reproductions - cast metal, not plastic. $89, with shipping comes to $104. Part #HE700. I ordered one earlier this week, but it hasn't arrived it yet. My original was dented beyond repair (although we tried).

Here are some pictures of the repro metal hood extension I just got from Fusick's, compared to my banged up original. The repro appears to be a well made piece: flange thicknesses are about the same, all the holes line up, and the surface finish is smooth. The two parts feel like they weigh about the same. I'll take it to the shop on Monday and see how it fits up with the hood and edge moldings.

More pictures in the next post.

right after i posted the link on here i was contacted about it. i am being told that the center two holes on the NOS ones for the 442 have the center two holes drilled in the wrong spot. i have to look tonight when i get home. i think i have some used tooth 442 emblems i can compare it to. i will have to figure that out first and then i may have to pull it from ebay if it is not right.

Based on the photos the Fusick reproduction looks very good, and the price is pretty much on target with nice originals. Man,..... and to think I've rat holed three spares of those things with the anticipation that they would never make a faithful reproduction...
