1969 442 bumper core
I'm still looking for a 1969 442 rear bumper core for my H/O. I don't want to use a repro on that car. I'm looking for a plain, solid bumper - no optional rub strip, no holes for bumper guards, no holes for an aftermarket trailer hitch. Extra credit if you're either in easy driving distance of Northern VA or can bring it to Spring Carlisle. I'm going to have this plated, so small dents and some rust is OK. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

I've got an extra one out in Oregon... but I'm not sure the dents would be called small! If nobody offers up a good one at a price your comfortable with let me know and I'll dig this one out & take some pictures of it.

Who will be plating it? Have you called Tri-city plating? I know they have stacks of bumper cores. They did the front bumper on my Toro. I swapped them my original for one of their cores that they had already plated for me. They also re-plated my original rear W34 bumper and the original rear bumper and tailgate piece from my vista. Quality is very good for the price, but if you wanted it done somewhere else they may sell you a good core. They come to Spring, Fall, and Ford Nationals at Carlisle (maybe the Mopar nationals too).

Because sometimes people have a $#itload of work for their day job and don't have time to drop everything and call. Thanks for the lead, and I plan to follow up - later this week.

Goodness, not sure you realize just how much Joe has going on. Not to mention, what he offers this forum on a daily basis in regards to his knowledge and experience.

Wait a minute, Joe's a Masshole from Shrewsbury? I did not know that! You remember Gene's Speed Shop Joe? He used to take us out water skiing in Spencer in his Donzi. Geez' Dean, I did not realize they leveled Spag's, I don't go by there much anymore. I didn't realize some people here work, too. I got to get out more...
