He sent me some pics of it a while back, but I wasn't convinced it was a '68.
Looked more like a '69 to me. Note the upturn at the far left of the pic.

I think you're right.

Here's a '68 98 (ignore the car, just look at the bumper). The top of the bumper is flat all the way across, including where it extends under the turn signal lights.

Here's a '69 98. Note how the bumper curls up at each end. The turn signals are IN the bumper, too, not next to the headlights.

In fact, I don't think that bumper he sent you a photo of is for a '68 or a '69. That sort-of hexagonal-shaped opening in the center doesn't look right for either year. It certainly doesn't look like where you'd mount a license plate.

It's unfortunate that he didn't bother to fully unwrap the bumper before taking a picture of it so you could see the whole thing.

I don't think mine is a 68. Not sure what the application. It is unwrapped in the Fs section.

Definetly not a 68 98 - I think it might be from a Buick. Can't seem to find a match however. If you post some more pics - top view, side view, etc it might be possible to ID this.
Cheers,
-Brian
