1968 Cutlass dash parts
Hey guys, me again. Same 68 Cutlass Convertible, the radio was missing when the car came in along with the ash tray. The customer dropped in a custom auto sounds radio which is lovely, but the radio panel that goes in the dash for it to mount through is missing. Does anyone have one?
Also a complete ashtray set up is also needed.
Oh and I think someone has installed a 442 dash into this car, the metal part of the dash behind the padded part has been cut about and the heater/defroster vents that a cutlass has either end and in the centre of the dash are missing, looks like a 442 padded dash top. Ive attached a photo of the lower part of the dash that's removable, the padded part is at the upholstery place at the minute being re-covered. Not sure if that makes a difference on the parts we need or if they are the same between the 2 models.
Anyone got the missing parts? Would need them shipped to the UK.
Many thanks in advance,
Chris.

Both the 68 Cutlass and 442 had the same dash for non a/c and the vented dash for a/c

Hmmmm mayby the car originally had A/C and when the person who done all the 455 stuff to it, they decicided to ditch it all for the non A/C dash. Who knows.
If I could have some pics of the parts that would be great.
Many thanks,
Chris.

The pic below is the radio bezel you need.
It is a chromed pot metal bezel.
The ashtray door probably won't be hard to find, but,
you need to be sure to get the door springs with it as
these hard to find because they are small parts and easily lost.
It would be worth your while to purchase a '68 CUtlass assembly manual from ebay(about $27.00 US).
It will have detailed illustrations of the dash, radio and ashtray assemblies.
