(FOUND) Looking for these supports. I believe they are specific to the 1968 models.

They sure do. Any chance you can check to see if the part numbers that are stamped in yours match the ones for the 68?

I bet the other side will be 402493. I have a set of those that I bought from Oldspackrat. At least now we know that 68 and 69 are different.

Thank You for getting me that info!

These are the ones I have which match yours. They do not work on my 68 convertible. There's always the possibility that I'm not installing them correctly, but I'm pretty sure it's the supports, not me. lol.

Don’t underestimate yourself lol just kidding Rick! I didn’t remove mine however it seems it’s unbolted from firewall then unscrewed from dash, I do note the bends are very different left and right, I would make sure that you didn’t accidentally swap sides ? I don’t know man it’s crazy they wouldn’t work? Anyway wishing you luck in search

Hey new member as of yesterday K.Dragon,

Since you have zero post and you're trolling the parts wanted forum, tell your buddy that you PM'd me about, to send me a picture of the 1968 steering column support supports he has "in his yard". Make sure he includes today's date on a piece of paper in the picture.

'68-'69 column supports

Have a pair, taken from a '69 Chevelle hardtop. Maybe they are the same? PM me if still looking. Legit seller, have been online since 2002 - with ebay until it collapsed in 09, and on forums ever since. Dave S. southern NM

Thanks to member tiogatwister a.k.a. Kevin, for the correct supports. Oddly enough, there are no part numbers stamped in them but they fit perfectly.
