There are two types...an early and late style. One has two bolts attaching the hood and the other 3....

I have an early 2 bolt hood hinge.

Thank you… I reached out to them. They mentioned they can install Chevelle arms on our 68 Oldsmobile hinges and they will open higher? Did you have this done??

 

No, I just had my originals restored. It just might be a good thing to get them to open higher because if you are not careful when the hood is open you may get a good knock on the head. I painted them myself after I got them back. I believe my cost about 4-5 yrs ago was about 250.

 

unfortunately I cracked my head too many times to remember. I think the price is the same…little extra for the Chevelle arms. They suppose to be Phosphate gray color?

 

I painted mine argent silver which is about the same color. I will go out in the garage and take a picture of them and will post it in a few minutes.
