1968 442/Cutlass Convertible Trunk Lid Torsion Bar

One of my trunk lid torsion bars broke. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I think that the sedan uses a different part than than the convertible, and I assume all the GM A body cars use the same part.

Anyone know how many years use the same part as 1968?

Is there some easy way to contact/search a bunch of auto salvage yards to locate something like this?

I "think" the convertible trunk rods are the same from '68 through '72, but you might want to find out for sure. If so, I have two complete sets & one single rod, all from convertibles. If I have the side you need I'm sure we can make a deal. I'd hate to break up a set if I don't have to, so worst case, I'd want to sell a set & not a single one.
Let me know & thanks.

The one that broke connects to the drivers side - that is, on my drivers side the part under the hinge just hangs down and is not attached to a torsion bar.

I will try to research the 68 - 72 issue.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone that responded. I found a set that came out of a 68 convertible, so decided to buy those.

I forgot to post - installed the new torsion bar and it works great. My trunk lid now opens by itself and stays open.
