My car had MT valve covers & vent tube when I got it. I changed to the correct notched covers and now the vent tube does not line up to the stock air cleaner. I found some formed rubber hoses and made something that works. I have tried to get the correct metal tube but nothing seems to fit. This must be unique to the 400 and 1968. Does any one have a correct vent tube I can get?

AC=OAI or not-AC?

One goes up and AFT from the valve cover, the other up and FWD.

You have the 5/8 diameter grommet for the valve cover?

I have a spare non-OAI type I think.
77 Toro is ALMOST the same as the ac=OAI type but not quite.

Meh, they offer only the two most common slight-bend units
