1967 Olds 442 steel rims
Hi All - Thank you for a great forum. I own 2 Oldsmobiles - 67 442 coupe, and a 72 Cutlass convertible. Both cars have been in the family for a long time (my Dad bought the 72 for my mom in 1973!). I just bought the 67 from my brother in law - it was in his family since 1977. Both cars are almost all original.
Anyway, the 67 came with dog dish hubcaps but the steel rims are long gone. Currently it has aftermarket mags which will be removed as soon as I can find the "correct" 14x6 GM steel rims to put the dog dish caps back on.
I am not concerned about date stamps, but I do want the correct backspacing and the overall design of the rim to be correct. Does anyone know what the backspacing should be? (The car has drums all the way around).
And where would be best place to get them? Ebay? Or a reproduction company?
Many thanks!
Tom

Most people have gone away from the steel wheels to rally wheels. I bet if you created a parts wanted thread you'd get someone here to offer up some good used ones, especially If you don't need the correct code for a 1967. I do have a set of originals I want to keep, so if nobody has what you need I could try to take some measurements off one of them.
On another note, the selection of 14" tires is getting less and less. You might consider a set of 15" steel wheels and use your hubcaps on them.

The 15" aren't easy to find either.
