1967 442 400 E engine

The E blocks are out there, only used two years so a little harder to find. You won't be able to beat the price of Matt's offer! But location can make a big difference on shipping costs. Also if your wanting to make it as original as possible you'll want casting dates within a couple months prior to the assembly date on your trim tag. If you don't take Matt's offer please post your location and if its important to you a photo of the trim tag. John

I have a complete powertrain, minus carb, from intake to pan to manifolds to diff housing for a 67 442 that Ed Skaff parted and sold to me right before he lost his fight to cancer. I think that car is so much iron oxide in the WV hills now. I'll keep it for spares for mine.
Unless you are going for total stock restoration, a 455 is totally respectable in a 67 442. Correct? No, but very capable, and that's an interesting question. I think the 455 would get going first, but the 400E would beat it on the top end, all other things being equal.
