1966 442 Trunk Trim

Looking for the deck lid/trunk "OLDSMOBILE" trim piece. Restored, driver quality, needing restoration are all ok.

Please let me know what you've got.

Thank you!

For a 442? If so, my experience is that this piece is very difficult to re-chrome without really hurting the details of the letters.

Thornton could sell a lot of these if he would commission a reproduction the quality of his 66 442 taillight bezels.

Yes. It’s for a 442. This isn’t a show car by any means but a decent piece would be nice. Thanks!

1966 442 trunck trim

I have this difficult trunk trim coming from chrome plating in April. It is of concourse quality but black trim paint is not applied. Cost is $1000.00 plus shipping. I understand this seems expensive but I have been to national shows through out the country and have never seen a restored one for less. The trim is pot metal and once corrosion has occurred especially on the letters it is un restorable. You can contact me then if you are interested. In three years of looking I have only found 2,the other being on my car that I paid exactly that amount for. Good luck
