1965 starfire seat covers wanted

Looking for a resource for replacement of the bucket and rear seats for a 65 Starfire Convertible. I’ve reached out to PUI, automotiveinteriors.com and SMS and only one offered a price and they require months of lead time plus my existing covers because they don’t have patterns. I can get a Pontiac 2+2 interior for 600 bucks but anything in the Starfire arena is over double that and that’s for vinyl. Pretty much the same think with slightly different pattern. Anyone with a resource for factory vinyl/leather covers? Mine is black interior, convertible. Thanks!!

There is no source, they have to be sewn from scratch. Your local upholstery shop/convertible top shop should be able to make them for you. Original leather will be more $ than vinyl...

Count yerself lucky it's black interior. Black leather and vinyl are easily found. To get one of the colors would prob require buying a whole hide and having it custom dyed.

65 SF is a complex stitch pattern but not beyond a competent trimmer.

Black interior definitely helps. It’s hard to justify a custom interior on these cars when you see them sell at auction for well under 20k after someone dumped twice or more that amount into a proper restoration. It’s really tempting to go with something like the PUI Pontiac 2+2 interior as it’s very close to the SF in appearance and I can replace it in a week if something happens. Bucket seat gets a tear its a 150 dollar problem. Pragmatism says buy the 2+2 materials and do it over the weekend myself for 600 and have peace of mind. I can divert funds to other areas of the car. The other part thinks it’s nuts to not pay 4 times that for the factory replicas and wait 3-4 months and I can say it’s a proper SF interior. I’m going to get some pricing from a place that I know has done these seats before to see if they’re reasonable using Madrid vinyl materials + leather. Luckily some folks have listed the actual places that did their custom interiors in posts and videos. I’ll report back.
