1965 Delta 88 POLICE SPEC rear brake drum needed

Hello everyone, I am looking for one rear brake drum that will fit a 1965 Delta 88 with the Police spec drum brakes. My current drum blew a wheel cylinder inside which led to a build up of brake dust and grime, and eventually a deep, un-turnable gouge to form in the drum itself. Due to this, I have learned there is virtually no aftermarket availability for these drums which use the 11 x 2 brake shoe and 5x5 bolt pattern.

I am looking for a stock brake drum that matches these specs and is know to fit this model. There have been several threads on the subject but I have yet to see one where an aftermarket drum has been found that works.

Please PM me if you have one of these drums or any suggestions that might help me out. Thank you!

Is this 5-oh brake system different from the usual brakes that my parts cars might have? Large diameter?

Looked this up in Hollander interchange manual and they show no difference for a 65 88 with police package for the drums from a standard 88. Which would be the same as the 65 Starfire I have.

Email me direct lemoldsnut@aol.com

Thanks

It looks like the brake drums are the same size between the police spec and non-police spec . Interesting as the brake shoe size and wheel cylinders are different...

I have a 65 SF parts car, but the rear drums went with the 3.23 posi.

Have a 70 D88 with drums. is that the same part?
