I am looking for a pair of front bumper braces for a 65 442. part # 589984 RH and 589985 LH. I really need the drivers side as it was repaired with angle iron. Thanks.

we are talking about the main brackets not the ones that attach to the corners of the bumper? i have a pair still on a 65 bumper.are they worth $100 shipped? i really dont know their value

No my main brackets are good. It is the corner braces that I need.

i did come across a driver's side bracket,it's round correct? there aren't any numbers n it but it's attached the the main bumper bracket and labeled 65 cutlass

sorry I took so long to respond - Life seems to screw up most of my plans. Yes the brace is round and about 19" long with a flat mounting bracket on each end. The long is 3 1/2 inches long and the short end is just over an inch. I do need the drivers side if you have one available. I thought I had a pair purchased but turns out it was just a scam so I am pretty leary of purchasing now.

Sorry you got scammed! jcdynamic88 has been active on the site for a long time and I can vouch for him as an honest person to deal with. To try and avoid scammers in the future you can check the buyer/seller feedback and do a search on the sellers name. Then one more thing you can check, the number of posts a member has made is under their name. If someone has lots of posts, you can have a higher confidence level that they are a legitimate seller and not a scammer that just created a profile to steal someone's money.
