1955 Hood

WTB. Good hood for 1955 88 Olds.(98 probably the same) within driving distance of East Texas. Surface rust ok. Thanks.

You can probably find one at CTC Auto Ranch north of Denton. Unless something has changed, they will be ridiculously expensive but they are probably worth a call. Here is the link:

55 Olds Hood

Thanks for the tip. Sent them an email. They don't show much on their website that would work. Looks like they do have useable one on a 54. Does anyone know if they will work on a 55? I don't have a Hollander.

I don't know if the 54 hood will fit or not but it should be close. However, it is a different hood. The OLDSMOBILE letters are on the hood on a 54 whereas they are on the grillbar on a 55. I believe the 55 has two ridges on the hood near the center whereas the 54 has one in the center. You really need a 55 hood.

I've got one in Oregon that isn't perfect but decent. I remember when Ted was looking for one a couple years ago he had a tough time finding it. Let me know if you'd like to see pictures.

You might have to pay some freight but I will tell you that you could not do business with anybody any better than John (2blu442). If he says it is decent then it is probably very good. He is one of the best guys on here. I would buy from John sight unseen.
