I am restoring a 69 442 that had the original rear end swapped out with a Vista Cruiser 12 bolt O-type rear with the HD rear brakes. The only issue is that the current carrier is setup with a 2.78 ratio. Am hoping to get a bolt-in carrier with a larger set of gears 3.42 would be ideal.

Good luck with that. Finding gears for the O-type rears is nearly impossible. Check with Brian Trick (507OLDS) or Jim Mitschke (monzaz) on this site. They may be able to help you solve this.
