SHARP TIMING COVER AND VALVE COVERS

I have reproduced the Sharp timing covers and Sharp valve covers. These are identical to the ones used on the Hurst Hairy Olds and the Terrifying Toronado. The timing covers are made for a blown engine application and have the embossment for a cam driven fuel pump. The can be used on a regular aspirated engine but you would have to use a electric water pump. The holes for the crank seal is centered drilled on the back and would have to be opened up for your application. The cast valve covers are taller than stock and will not fit under any brackets or power booster and will clear most valvetrains. your choice of either having the center oil hole open or left closed. I have the oil fill cap for sale also. the center holr will accept a D type grommet for a PCV valve or breather. These parts have been tested and fit and function very well. Supply is limited.
Any questions please email me @ hairy@hursthairyolds.com
timing cover $230.00 plus shipping
valve covers $300.00 plus shipping
oil fill cover $25.00 ea

What are the chances you're going to get into reproducing the "Oldsmobile Racing" valve covers for a normal aspirated 350 or 455? Your work is beautiful, but wouldn't work on my car without mods that I don't want to do.

Just like Jesse said, it looks great!

Is your next project a blower intake?

Yes that is my intended next project of 12 as soon as I have at least 6 commited buyers with down payments. The cost of the pattern and core box is more than I want to extend my finances with out for sure sales. Oh by the way this is one of the manifolds from the Hurst Hairy Olds. A far as doing other valve covers I have no desire to do other covers in the future.

I guess a more important question that wasn't asked earlier is whether this violates any patents or trademarks. If the rights have been acquired it's a no brainer, but it should be stated that they are reproduced 'with permission' or 'under acquired and licensed patent'

I have the permission of the company that holds the rights to the brand name Sharp. I personally don't think that it needs to be stated in my ad or any topic concerning the sale of these parts.
I have all of my bases covered thank you.
As far as the back story I don't know who contacted Al Sharp about making these parts but I would guess it was Dale Smith. Al made these pieces in a small run back in 1965 for the 66 race season. about a dozen intakes were made as were the timing covers. More sets of valve covers were made and sold thru Olds dealers, Holiday Olds sold a bunch. I have only seen 2 sets of valve covers and 1 timing cover.

I'll bet you'd have a line of folks if you decided to do w30 intakes and balancers.

A few years back I was working on the W-31 balancer but that project went down a dark ally.
Holiday Olds was in Minnesota not sure what the city was.
The sales are slow but that is to be expected with a specialty item such as this.
I have the covers in red wrinkle finish and would look great on a 69 engine.

Well I started out with 40 sets in 2008 and I have 8 sets left and 2 sets are mine. For a limited run specialty product such as this that's not bad.
