NOS 1968-69 442 Hurst Olds oil filter Show Car

NOS AC PF 30 oil filter. Original white filter with the embossed instructions on the bottom. This style was used for sure in 1968 and possibly in 1969. Sharp show car judges are now checking for correct oil filters. The box is oil soaked, the filter is fine. The inside box flap is dated 7/68. Price is $110.00, includes insured U.S. Priority Mail shipping. No pay-pal. PM me if interested.

Yeah, but can the judges spot this:

But seriously, what is the difference between this white one and the other you have?

I am lucky to discern white from blue from Fram. School us, please!

If anyone at a TOP Corvette show, Camaro show, Chevelle show, or GTO show used a $3.00 oil filter decal, they would be laughed off the show car field. For the past 10-15 years those guys have known the correct style filter to use. 1968's and some 1969's used a single line of embossed instructions on the bottom. Some 1969's and all 1970's had 2 lines of embossed instructions on the bottom. By 1971 or so they eliminated the embossed instructions. All Pontiac PF 24, Chevy PF 25, and Oldsmobile PF 30 filters followed the same format. A 1969-1970 Chevrolet PF 25 filter recently sold on Ebay for $510.00. Item # 261361552498. (yes, it was mine)

Thanks for the education. I was unaware of the changes over just those few years.

Were there any difference between the oil filters installed by the engine plant and the service parts of that same year? Some Chevelle guys used to say the engine plant filters were entirely white--absent of any screened on blue and red striping/lettering.
