Did you by any chance get this from Memmer around 2000-2001?

Not trying to be an a-hole, I'm just offering a suggestion. Just keep it since its NOS.
You can get a repro from the parts place for around $120. These things don't work that well anyway; I don't see why anyone would want to buy one for $450 when a repro is so much cheaper.

If you want reproduction parts on your car thats fine but there are many people who only want original GM parts for there original GM car. There is NO substitute for ORIGINAL GM.

What a sweet package! I was looking for one of those for ages before I bought a repro cable. I've got the OEM latch mechanism though.

Joe, any chance you could post a pic of the 2 piece cable? I've only seen them in Assembly manuals and am really curious about that center connection. If it means you have to open the package, don't do it. I'm sure it's worth keeping it sealed for the eventual buyer.

FWIW I see the value in this part. After all I spent way more than that on an NOS cruise control for my 72.

Because the repros are a '70-style 1-piece cable and '71-'72 used a 2-piece cable that nobody currently reproduces. $450 seems very reasonable to me to have the correct part.
