This is an OEM hot air pipe (aka heat riser tube) used in the delivery of warm air from the engine (455 cid) to the snorkel of the air cleaner. This is often missing or a primitive replacement used in it's place. This one has holes directly across from each at its base which is indicative of '71 and '72. One hole is small so it likely was for a '72 application that uses a cotter pin. The other hole had a bolt in it which I removed. If more pics are desired please let me know.
