1968 442 Cutlass hood hinges
1968 442 Cutlass hood hinges
Pair of 68 (only) hood hinges. These are straight and not bent like so many of these are. They have been stored for over 25 years in a box and removed from a parts car with a functioning hood. They have the original grime on them and are not pitted….just clean and or paint and go. Selling as pair only……$299/ pair plus shipping. PM or text 661-203-6953. Thanks, Dave
Do you have any insight into what issues bent hinges have? The rear of my ‘68 442 hood sits a little high and I have fiddled with adjustments with no success. Wondering if proper adjustment is what I need, or if bent hinges could be the problem.
I’ve parted about 20 68’s and over 30 69’s…..it really the design of the 68’s which is probably why they changed to the 69-72 style. I’m not an expert but from what I’ve seen it’s the rivets that have play and always need to be well lubricated. When this occurs the hinges tend to bend. These were specifically saved because the hoods opened properly and the hinges are not bent…..I do have one more pair for sale. Hope this helps.
