Up for sale is a desirable 1100879 Delco Remy Alternator - 0B5 date code and 37 amps. Application is for a '70 W-31, Rally 350 or Cutlass (all non-AC).

Very nice alternator to start with although it had one small crack on one of the case screw bosses. This was professionally TIG welded and there is some epoxy filler in a few small spots of the repair....these spots will be touched up/painted so they blend in with the surrounding surfaces.

>Overall, the case halves were in very good condition w/none of the heavier corrosion/oxidation that can leave pitting in the surfaces. The case halves have gone through a thorough cleaning and refinishing process....no unsightly deep oxidation or staining on the surfaces and a great "sheen" to the aluminum surfaces.

>Rebuild/Resto process is started and will be completed when sold.

>Will be fully rebuilt, internals (stator and rotor) will be correctly colored, etc

>New noise suppressor installed in back case half (see pics)

>Fan and pulley nice and replated. Other hardware (case screws, etc) also nice replated pieces.

>Will also include a new wire clip/retainer that mounts on the R side "GRND" stud on the back of the alt....including my own design "adapter sleeve" that allows the wire retainer to stay in place on the stud. The repro wire clip/retainers have too large of a hole in them where they are meant to slip on the stud. In fact the clip/retainers are made to go on a non-AC firewall blower box stud which is larger than the alt stud...that's the only difference in the two clip/retainers so my 70Post-exclusive adapter sleeve is the perfect solution). As an alternative I can provide a black plastic "loop" strap that holds the wiring. I've had original 1100879 alts with BOTH styles of wire retainers.
