Are the carb mount homes drilled and tapped oversize or is it new thread inserts I see?

 

Yes they have been heli-coiled to stock sizes so they will take the std suds or bolts

 

Why is there a drilled and tapped hole in the bottom of the plenum, Nitrous?

 

That is for the EGR ,, tap it and put a plug in it

 

I was always amazed that a single plane performance manifold was made to accommodate an EGR valve. I guess it was the way to get the feds to allow it as a replacement for the factory manifold, but it sure seems strange. I wonder how many people actually installed the EGR valve with this manifold?

Based on my engine it ran from about 2500 to my shift point of 6500 .
