403 engine and performance parts $1,500
Hello gang, I am trying to clear up space, and with a recent rebuild on my 455, I am trying to sell my 403 engine for a good deal. First off, the engine is located in Washington state, but I have it crated up ready to ship, which depending on the location, the quotes have been 300-350ish. The 403 has been bored .040 but still needs finish honed for the pistons, they measured right at 4.390 if memory serves correct. The engine comes with the following:
330 steel crank and flexplate, has been turned 10/10 and used, but no damage that i can see
C heads, 2.07 intake valves from toronado, rebuilt with port work, have been ran, will need milled and holes reamed out for 403 use
403 connecting rods, resized ready to go
TRW nos forged .040 pistons - very rare
performance products balancer
edelbrock 7111 performer rpm intake in good used shape no damaged threads
2 distributors, 1 that has low miles but has had lots of weird stuff done to the mechanical timing curve, 1 stock unit with unknown miles
a new set of plug wires
harland sharp roller rockers
solid lifters that have dyno time on them no camshaft - if you dont want them, throw them away
timing cover, oil filter adapter, thermostat housing misc hardware
- in a nutshell, you will need to finish the machine work, bearings, a set of rings, a camshaft, and the proper springs for said camshaft, and you are on your way to having a great 403. My plan was to build a pretty wild engine but after I rebuilt my 455, I decided against this one. I am asking $1,500 for the crate of parts before shipping. I added it up, and I have roughly 3k into this pile of parts, and I am supplying the crate and packing materials at no cost, so please keep that in mind during our conversations. I am not looking to retire off this pile of parts, but I know how much trouble I had finding this stuff when i was going to build this engine. Thank you for your time, let me know if you're interested.
