The 0258 has become harder to find than the 4 speed carb for some reason.

I'm guessing because there were more automatics made to begin with, once these cars became just "old" cars I'm sure many had their carb either swapped for a Holley or turned in as a core for a rebuilt Rochester. Or maybe more clones are made out of automatics since it is easier/cheaper to find an automatic 442 than a 4 speed.
