SS-IV's.

Not mine but thought some were looking for these. I see he says these are
the smaller bolt pattern as well. Seems cheap enough for these ugly things.

That is a very good price for SS-IV wheels. I thought they only came in the large bolt pattern. Learn something new everyday.

I thought they did too Anthony. It seems I saw somewhere a pic with them on a Cutlass. These may be the rare ones for those cars. Still fugly to my eyes though.

The photo shows the aftermarket Motor Wheel Exiter wheel, which is similar, but different from the Oldsmobile SS-IV wheel.

^^^THIS! SS-IV wheels were only made in the 5x5" bolt circle. The aftermarket Exiter wheels were made in the 5x4.75" pattern. The wheels in the ad are SS-IV wheels. The seller is just wrong about the bolt pattern.

I remain amazed by the number of people who don't understand the concept of bolt CIRCLE. They just measure center-to-center between two non-adjacent lug holes and think that is the correct measurement on a five lug pattern.

I just put a set of these on my 75 Delta 88 Convertible and like how they look (personal preference). They need paint to make them look a lot better. Any idea what color to use to get this done?? Thanks Matt

Someone had mentioned to check a Pontiac or Firebird site as they have steps to restore the honeycomb wheels, which supposedly are the same material and paint as the SS-IV wheels.

That is correct. Both the SS-IV and the Honeycomb wheels are polycast - the steel wheel has a molded polyurethane outer face. Painting the polyurethane requires the same sort of careful prep and special materials as does painting a urethane front bumper.

Thanks for the info. I'll leave this project to my auto body buddy.
