394 parts

Hi All
I've got a few 394 items that I'd like to sell to someone here and give them the chance to save a buck. I'm taking apart a 1961 394 that a previous owner had been working on. It looks like the timing set, cam and lifters may have been new but were installed and sat for many years. The timing set is GM and I'd like to have $50 plus shipping for it. Then the cam and lifters, they are stained but I'm not seeing pits in the metal. Still, I don't know enough about the parts to say they will clean up well enough to use. When I got online to check prices these aren't cheap. So I'd like to see if someone would be willing to pay $50 plus shipping to give them a try. One of the lifters is missing the internal parts (not sure how that happened). The cam was installed and lifter put in place, but the pushrods and rocker arms were never installed. So I'm thinking there shouldn't have been any pressure placed on the lifters. Check out the photos and if you have any questions let me know. The cam part number is 518128 but I'm not seeing any brand markings on it. John

I'm having trouble copying pictures from my photobucket folder. I'll keep trying but your welcome to view them there: http://s90.photobucket.com/user/2blu...?sort=3&page=1

John:

Do you have an oil filter adapter that uses a spin on filter? If you have one I will take it.

I sold the one off the 1961 block already. But there's one on the 1964 block. I'll pull it and make sure its in good shape, then send you pictures.

Here's the one I pulled from the 1964 394 block. If this looks correct for what you need please send me a PM or email with your shipping address and I'll get you a price including shipping. John

Put me on the if I ever get another one list also. They work on all the first generation engines. I've been putting off getting one for my car because I enjoy the grief of oil running down my arm..... Tedd

OK Tedd, if I come up with another one I'll give you first shot at it.
