What type of shape would you say they are in ??

 

40 years old. Normal wear. The one with the base is not as good as the other.

 

 

the metal parts are in very good shape.
The texture of the black portion is mostly gone because they are so old but over all no chunks broken off and both could use a good cleaning with GooGone. Would be an improvement over a standard wheel.
