Brian, 68- 69 400. Possibly a 69 442. Should have the divorced type choke set-up.

Yep. 69 442 4 speed. It was on my 68 442 but I have a correct carb for it. So this is for sale.

 

you didn't find holy grail for 68 4 speeds, did you?

 

No. My car will get a '251 carb. I'm not that lucky.

My niece's '68 4-4-2 4-spd (M21, 3.42 limited slip, late October '67 production date, Lansing car) had the 7028251 carb on it when she got it back in the late '80s. I've only seen pics of a 7028253 carb - never one in person - and it appears there aren't many 253s around. Did someone ever prove that 251 carbs came on a lot of manual transmission '68 4-4-2 cars or is that all still unknown?

there's a late April or May REV to the assembly manual that adds the 7028253 so it would only be correct for late production MT 442's. The only two I've seen pictures of had June casting dates
