Free - olds 260 - carb to pan
I've got one, too, in a corner.
If you keep it for fifty years, it'll be so rare that it may be worth something, otherwise, scrap value is probably the best you'll be able to do.
I agree, it's a shame, but realistically, nobody wants them.
You could try offering it free or really cheap on CL - someone else with some corner space may take it just to hold onto it.

Its a shame to scrap it , its unfortunate to those who could use it but shipping costs would be to expensive.
I see Larry could use it if he were closer, I wonder if the shipping costs would be worth it to Larry since you offered it up for free.
I wouldn't mind helping out with a few $$ along with others willing to help cover shipping costs to him, if he's really in need of a good running engine.
Cheers

I would use it to clutter up my garage even more, ha. Yes, I still have the 455. Gonna try to pull it this spring and get rid of the donor car. Don't know if it will go in my '76 or maybe get a G Body down the road for. It if the small block is running good ..you know how it goes. Things change.

If you do end up scrapping it and have the time be sure to remove all the parts that interchange with other engine sizes. Selling those items may give you a few dollars to make it worth your while.
