i had it thermal cleaned and it really is fantastic and the finish is better than new..theres no paint or glass/sandblasting...it goes in a machine and they warm it up and it gets shot with microscopic stainless beads and it closes the pores and leaves a finish thats oil and stain resistant..it gives it that nice soft natural finish. You probably heard of reskinning the w-30 intakes for the factory look..same basic process...i use the process because of the stain resistant properties...its and incredible factory type finish...i use it on new intakes too...and have used it on any alum on cars including alternators case and brackets that have a natural finish..etc..
