I wonder how he has a 100% positive feedback and doesn't know what he is selling. If you read it's placement is for the front. You go down a little more then it says the auction is for a rear bumper.

Good eye Jaunty. It's a very funny one.

You're right. I missed that. Damn. I did need a front bumper for my Olds GTO, too. I keep it in my garage right next to my Chevy Mustang and my Buick Imperial.

If your Vista Cruiser is a Dodge Vista Cruiser, you should be just fine.

Do you think that bumper will fit on a Toranado 442? (their spelling)

Don't be so critical. It could have been a simple slip of the finger. The "A" and the "O" are fairly close on the keyboard ya know.

What I get a lot is "That's a nice 225 you have. Does it have a 442 in it?"

I've always cut a little slack to people who are only casual observers of Oldsmobiles or who don't know them at all and who, for lack of any other knowledge, make the really very reasonable assumption that "442" written on the side of the car refers to the cubic-inch displacement of the engine. After all, many other cars over the years, including the '67 Delmont 88 with the 425 engine, had the engine size in the badging somewhere on the car.

Now, of course, if they came up to me and said, "that's a nice Pontiac 442 you have there" or something similar, I would still slap their face right off their head. You can tolerate this sort of thing only so far.

Any car should be honored to be mentioned in the same breath as the legendary Gran Turismo Omologato.

I only get the observations from the Unknowledgeable when there is another person nearby to impress!

Personally I like sellers like this

You get rare parts, in good shape, for much cheaper. On the down side, it makes them harder to find

I have an 83 Porsche 928. While I was at the gas station one time a guy comes up and says, "Porsche, isn't that just a hopped up VW?"
My reply was, "Ya, with a 4.7 liter all aluminum overhead cam V-8 that pushes this 'VW' to a top speed of 150." He just looked at me with a blank look on his face. I and left..... Quickly.

As much as I like the Pont. version, I'd much rather have 1 of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_250_GTO
