Floor shift speedometer for the 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass and 442. This is the optional U15 "Safety Sentinal" speedometer. It is in "as-found" condition and will need some restoration to be fully fuctional. I will list both the good and the bad features. The speedometer face is very clean, the speedometer works fine, the odometer works fine. The circuit board looks good, but one of the electrical pins is missing. The other 4 pins are straight and tight. The buzzer relay has been bench tested and works fine. The most troublesome feature is that the small **** does not move the yellow speed pointer. On my 70 Cutlass SX when I first drove it the buzzer went off and I thought something was wrong like over heating. I pulled over and it stopped then I got up to 75 it started again I did see it then and moved it to 80 to get home. Mine went with car when sold. I still have a extra buzzer and some parts.The guy sold the Sx to me because it got hot in SF Calif. going up the hills and installed rad. belts, hoses ect. I found it when I was going up a big hill it was the fact clutch go figure a easy fix.
