Two 1968 Supremes

I picked up two 1968 Supremes this week. Both cars are rough but there seems to be a lot of good parts left on both of them.

Factory Eight Track

Factory Bucket Seats
Center Console
Steering Column

Both dashes look nice. No cracks. I'll clean them up in the next week or so.

Might have a really nice package tray. They look good from what I see now. Again, I'll get the cars cleaned up and inspected over the next week.

Tom,
Both are "S" model not a Cutlass supreme.
"S" model has the chrome alone the upper edge.
"CS"model has the chrome along the lower edge about four inch before the bottom.
And yes as you said they are ruff.

yep, not supremes.

I see a front bell or mushroom style drum brake in one pic. If it's good, I'm interested

For being as rough as they appear they are proving to hold some real treasures.

Condition of all the stainless upper body moldings and the cast pieces at the front of the front fenders including the vinyl top trim pieces at the B pillar and around the trunk upper lip. Drip rails (all 6 pieces). The lower trunk lip trim and its two wings in the quarters on the green car? Any of it mint? I really need good roof rail(drip rail) pieces and that trunk lower lip molding, but they need to be really nice.

Side Marker?

If any of the front fender side marker lights are good, I need one, including the mounting bracket, seal, and nuts. You may either reply to this post or PM me - whatever you are comfortable with.

Thanks,
Rich

I've been looking for a driver's side plastic seat back for a bucket seat, if that one is nice and you are willing to separate it from the seat, let me know.

Thanks!

At first glance they look really nice. No cracks.
One might have a small wave along the top edge. I think the second one is straight.

I'll take some cleaner to them both tonight and see how they clean up.

The stainless trim can be polished up to like new condition. The front fender eyebrow trim can be chrome plated but it is forty-five years old. I'll take some pictures of it tonight.

The trunk trim isn't so great. Somebody put two screws in it to hold the ends down. The two wings may clean up. I'll check them out tonight.

Yeah, I saw the drums on the car and said to myself "neat", but then I had to take a hammer to get the drum off of one side.

the lining is nice.

I'll take pictures tonight.

OK Tom dont worry about the trunk trim. The outer wings are reproed. The trunk lip is the hard one to find nice. Definitely interested in stainless trim. A little polish/buff is cool dents are not.
Just so were on the same page, the pieces Im describing on the front fender are the leading edge of the stainless that is on the top of the fender. 68 its a 2 piece. 69 its all one piece from the door to the head lights. So if you sell the trim include that cast piece even if its crappy. Hopefully the studs are there. Not too worried as Fusick sells them as well.

One car has the two piece set up, the other car has had the passenger side trim replaced with a 1969 one piece unit.

Sorry,
I haven't gotten it out yet. I did get some of the interior out of the bucket seat car last night and hopefully I can get the eight track out tonight.
I am thinking $275.00. But I also think I need to insure the case not cracked up.

I kept track of who PM'd me first second and so on.

Again, sorry it's taking so long.

The eight track

Great looking case, I opened it up to inspect the inside, it's not all rusted out. The bumper pad is soft and looks great. The face plate isn't so perfect. Some of the wires have been spliced. Nothing that cannot be fixed easily.

Tom, the 8 track face plates are repopped now, and these 8 tracks are the same from 68-72, just different faceplate trims. Nice score bud.

Here's the link to H&H for anyone who's interested in the 8 track and wants to buy a new faceplate.

Thanks for the information. I was actually wanting the answers to those questions. Good to know stuff.

If it doesn't sell I was thinking about using it in my 69 Supreme.

Thanks again
