TH400, Hurst Shifter, & Torque Converter for Sale
Hello Olds Friends,
You are looking at nice TH400 BPO with a TCI StreetFighter Torque Converter # 242100 and a Hurst V-Matic 2 Shifter. This transmission has a Turbo Action Cheetah Manual Valve Bodies # 24141 "Reverse" Pattern also installed.
This package was build for performance in mind. It was installed in a 1972 Cutlass behind an Oldsmobile 468 Big Block turning about 500HP and 600 ft-tq. The TH400, Torque Converter, and Shifter only have about 3000 miles on it. There is nothing wrong with any of these parts I am just putting in an overdrive transmission in my car. This package would work excellent for a performance street application to a nice drag application. All sales are final and sold as is.
Information about the transmission:
GM TH400 with BPO bolt pattern
4" tail housing
Friction plates- Raybestos "Blue plates" are blended especially for hi=performance cars needing a good coefficient of frictions
Steel plates - the steels have a undergone a harding process Kolene which results in a surface hardness of approximately 70HRC
Critical bushings
Pump washer
Turbo Action Cheetah Manual Valve Bodies # 24141 "Reverse" Pattern
Por-15 Silver paint (Trans is very nice looking NOT some oil mess)
Information about the Torque Converter: # 242100
TCI StreetFighter converters are completely remanufactured with furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and a flame-hardened hub. StreetFighter converters will give you about a 3,000 to 3,500 rpm stall speed. They're recommended for use on high-compression street/strip engines and higher performance cars.
Information about the Shifter; # 3838520
Hurst V-Matic 2 shifters give you the four-speed manual look with the convenience of an automatic shifter. The V-Matics are cable operated and can be operated in standard gate mode and ratchet mode. A trigger operated reverse lockout function makes these shifters NHRA and IHRA-approved.
The Shifter will come with the shifter cable but the shifter will NOT come with the T-handle. You will need to buy a handle for the shifter. They run anywhere from $5 to $50 depending on the style of handle you like. You can pick these up at any auto parts store.
Asking $1300 for all of it. I'll even throw in the transmission cooler I used with the transmission when it was installed.
I am willing to part out the package if necessary. Make some offers.
I am located by Galena, IL
Thanks,
Dan
