There should be numbers stamped on two of the tabs located at the edge of the booster unit. One of these should be a 3-digit date code representing the day of the year the booster was assembled (some people report 4 digit date codes where the last digit of the year of assembly is also included). The other tab should have a four digit number that is the application code for the booster.
From the research I've done, I believe the four digit application code may be the last four digits of the booster's part number. It may also be the last four digits of the application number of the booster/master cylinder assembly installed on the assembly line as identified in the assembly manual. Or, it may be an application number not related to the part number and referencing just the utilization of the booster itself. To complicate things more, one of the four digits of the application code is frequently missing - off the edge of the tab when the stamp was not centered on the tab. I'm still working to verify this info and to learn more about booster codes as I search for the correct one for my 68.

not in line but you might want to post the photos in your ad and note whether it's been used or not since you got it.
I can attest his work is exceptional ( I recently installed one of his boosters in my '72) and your ask price is a good bit less than his direct selling price. Would be a great deal for someone not worried about numbers nobody will ever look for or see once installed.

There is a "part" # 4 digits and date code on the other side of the tab at the top. You can see these numbers when booster is installed on the car
The one on my car is dated 2 weeks before cars production date
