I have for sale a real w27 rear end cover. This cover is cast and porous, with machined edges, and really nice crisp lettering. I cleaned it and I have taken pictures of it next to a reproduction, and you can see the difference. Unfortunately, I am unable to post pictures up at this time. It is hard to gauge the value of this rear end cover, because upon research, the only other cover I saw for sale, was a NOS rear cover that they were asking 3500 for. Interesting thread, (no hijack intended) - for further comparisons, here are pics of my 10-bolt cover which I believe to be an original dealer part based on how long it's been on the car (at least 20 years and 2 owners ago) and the shinier appearance of the repro covers. These are very cool period pieces.
